Bio – Michelle Richardson

Born in Western Australia, I am an artist inspired by the ocean, the shifting seasons, and the quiet lessons found in nature. My artwork often features turtles, crabs, and other coastal motifs—symbols of resilience, grounding, and transformation. Through rich, layered colour blends, I capture the moods of the sea and the cycles of nature, exploring how they mirror our own emotional tides and personal evolution. Each piece invites viewers to find their own story within the ebb and flow of the natural world.

Alongside my creative practice, I founded Plan2Thrive, a lived-experience–based service shaped by the challenges and strengths that have defined my journey. From living independently in the Pilbara at a young age, to raising five children with additional medical and health needs, my life has been built on determination, advocacy, and community. I have run my own charity, worked closely with families and individuals facing complex barriers, and developed a deep passion for giving back.

My experiences—rebuilding confidence after domestic violence, finding my voice, and learning to stand firm in my worth—fuel the purpose behind Plan2Thrive. I believe in self-advocacy, empowerment, and supporting others to recognise their own strength and speak up for what matters.

Art and supporting others are my peace.

Through both, I aim to create spaces of healing, confidence, and connection—helping people recognise that they, too, can thrive.
